Blue es una boyband británica fomada por Lee Ryan, Duncan James, Antony Costa y Simon Webbe a comienzos del año 2000.

Contratados por la discográfica inglesa Virgin, subsidiaria de EMI, Blue fue un fenómeno fan durante los años 2000-2005, vendiendo más de 13 millones de discos y cosechando gran éxito con canciones como su single debut «All Rise», «Too Close», «One Love», «U Make Me Wanna» y el dueto con Elton John, «Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word».

En el año 2005 pusieron fin a su etapa como grupo para centrarse en sus carreras en solitario con la canción «Curtain Falls» y el primero de sus recopilatorios llamado Best of Blue.

Después de cuatro años, la banda se reformó para una serie de conciertos en el verano de 2009, pero no fue hasta principios del 2010, cuando los chicos confirmaron que habían empezado a trabajar en un nuevo disco para el siguiente año.

En Enero de este año, la BBC anunció para sorpresa de todos los seguidores que la banda participaría en el Festival de Eurovisión 2011 con la canción «I Can».

Formed in Montreal, Quebec in 1986

A project of French Canadian guitarist/lyricist/producer Michel St-Père, MYSTERY took form in 1986 as a six-member outfit. They released a self-titled album in 1992 that generated quite some interest across Canada. Unfortunately, a year later, their drummer Stéphane Perreault lost the use of both his legs; but his strong determination and passion for his craft inspired him with a new and unique approach to drumming: he became one of the first drummers to play from a wheelchair without the help of any pre-programmed sequences. In 1995, St-Père founded label Unicorn Records under which the band released a second album titled "Theater of the Mind" and which boasted airplay both in North America and Europe. In 1998, they released their last and most progressive album todate titled "Destiny?", which features six guest musicians. In 2000, a compilation CD was released that marked the end of a chapter in the band's history, as it also features their vocalist and long-time buddy Gary Savoie who has now left the band.

Over the years, MYSTERY's style has evolved from AOR (STYX, ASIA) to more adventurous art rock like that of RUSH and SAGA, but featuring delicate acoustic passages not normally heard from these two. Their music is based on St-Père's guitar play, which is well executed yet appropriately restrained, while the keyboards remain in the background. MYSTERY won't dazzle you with technical prowess but you will appreciate their strong melodies, outstanding vocals (Gary Savoie is often compared to JOURNEY's Steve Perry), elegant arrangements and attention to detail. Their compilation CD "At the Dawn of a New Millenium" is made up of remastered tracks of their three albums and is a fairly good sampler of their répertoire for those wanting to get acquainted with the band.

Recommended to fans of SAGA, KANSAS, JOURNEY, RUSH and to fans of melodic rock in general.

Self (habitualmente escrito sElf) es el proyecto musical liderado por el multi-instrumentista y productor estadounidense Matt Mahaffey.
Si bien no es un proyecto en solitario, él es el principal compositor y el que graba la mayor parte del material de la banda en el estudio; el resto de miembros aportan algunas contribuciones en sus álbumes de estudio, siendo más parte activa en los directos de la banda.
Self lo integran actualmente Matt Mahaffey (voz, guitarra, teclados, giradiscos, batería, productor), Chris James (teclados, samplers, guitarra, coros), Mac Burrus (bajo, teclados, vientos, coros) y Jason Rawlings (batería). Así mismo, el hermano de Matt, Mike Mahaffey (guitarra, teclados, voz) fue miembro fundador del grupo, hasta su muerte en Mayo del 2005. Otros miembros anteriores de Self fueron los bajistas Don Kerce y Timm Nobles. Seth Timbs ha contribuido ocasionalmente con la banda, pero sin ser un miembro oficial de esta.
La música de Self, a medio camino entre el rock alternativo y el llamado power pop, bebe de fuentes tan diversas como el jazz, el hip-hop, el punk, entre otros muchos estilos musicales. Según el propio Matt Mahaffey: "Soy un fan de las melodías pop y de los sonidos no-tan-pop...cuando alguien escucha una canción de Self, quiero que sepa que nos gusta combinar ambas...".
Self cuenta en su haber con 4 discos oficiales: Subliminal Plastic Motives (1995), The Half-Baked Serenade (1996), Breakfast With Girls (1999) y Gizmodgery (2000), aunque cuenta con un gran número de álbumes públicados de forma gratuita via Internet. Su futuro es incierto debido a la negativa de Dreamworks de publicar su último disco Ornament & crime (2004). Además, la muerte de Mike Mahaffey, así como la creación por parte de Matt de Wired all wrong (junto al ex-God lives underwater Jeff Turzo), dejaba pocas esperanzas a los seguidores del grupo de que nuevo material fuese publicado. Aún y así, en Enero del 2007 el propio Matt Mahaffey anunció a través de su blog de Myspace que estaba trabajando en un nuevo álbum de Self.
