Brought up on a kibbutz, Ravid first heard the Hang at a festival in Israel and was immediately inspired to play it. He bought his first drum and went to live in the Negev desert, where the stillness and silence provided the perfect environment to master the instrument. Later he travelled to Switzerland where he stayed with the inventors of Hang and evolved his technique and unique way of playing. Read more
