A mediados de la década de 1990, Ibrahim Gezer, un kurdo, vivía felizmente en Turquía con su familia y se ganaba la vida produciendo miel con su colonia de 500 abejas.
 
Luego vino la guerra turco-kurda y lo perdió todo. Huyendo durante siete años, llegó a Suiza como refugiado.
 
Este conmovedor documental sigue la historia de cómo este alma gentil, a punto de jubilarse, pudo reconstruir su vida, con nada más que su fe en la humanidad y su amor por las abejas.
