ReVibe comienza 2022 con todo, luego de sus fiestas con Juan Maclean, Art of Tones y Moodena, da la patada inicial con una leyenda de la música: Derrick Mckenzie, baterista de Jamiroquai, en su faceta de productor de música electrónica y Dj. Junto a los artistas ReVibe y más djs invitados, Departamento volverá a vibrar en una fiesta de alto voltage como sucedió a finales del año pasado. BIO DERRICK MCKENZIE: Derrick McKenzie started drumming professionally in the early 1980s, for bands such as Candyland and Urban Species. In 1994 he joined the band Jamiroquai during their second album 'Return of the Space Cowboy' and the rest is history! Since joining Jamiroquai, Derrick has written and played on nine albums and completed six sold-out world tours, becoming an awarding-winning drummer and songwriter, with a collection of awards including an Ivor Novello award, a Grammy and numerous accolades from MTV, BMI, MOBO and the Billboard Music Awards. Also, as well as being a well-accomplished Drummer, Derrick is also becoming a well-established DJ, having started working professionally in 2004, after DJing for Jamiroquai aftershow parties in bars and clubs. Derrick's main style is Soulful House, Jackin House, Tech House, Deep Soulful House, Funk, Soul, Disco, DiscoFunk, Nu Disco, Old Skool, RnB, also 80's and 90's Soul. Having worked with Deedylicious Oded Nir, and the iCulture production team, Derrick has also worked with some great DJ producers such as Roger Sanchez, Steve Mac, Richard Earnshaw, Miguel Migs, Steve Taylor, Da Lukas, Joy Rose, Groove Culture and looks forward to future music as both a Drummer and DJ Derrick also plays his own radio show on Mi-Houseradio, called The Rhythm Sessions Fridays nights 5-7pm with more in the pipeline. Derrick has DJ’d in the UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Japan, Switzerland, The Netherlands, the USA, Armenia and Australia, Mexico to name a few places and looks continues to extend his playing venues.
