There are certain times of the year when we want to align ourselves with the cosmos. The equinox is one of those annual portals where opposites are equalized. The body is a conductor of energy and life; and Autumn/fall is a pivotal moment in which energetic and physiological balance is restored. We experience what happens in nature inside and out, and these practices and rituals help us navigate those changes. Like harvesting clarity, direction and purpose. To close cycles and begin new ones: vital oxygen. When we work with that energy consciously, we can use intention, breath and our intuition to radiate in the direction of the change we want to follow. Embrace and love change, because it is the only constant.
What is it?
A dynamic Breathwork practice that combines Yoga & Meditation ancient techniques and modern neuroscience. It is an experience that allows us to naturally reach expanded states of consciousness and to explore our natural & intrinsic potential.
It is the union of breath and intention to explore our inner world while immersing ourselves in deep states of meditation. Unlocking, activating and connecting with the source of our vital energy/life force. An accessible method to train our transpersonal nature, awaken expanded states of consciousness and refine/integrate the creative and healing intelligence of our bodies. The session is accompanied by a curated SET of electronic and/or experimental music to deepen the experience.
Experienced already by thousands of practitioners, it brings and opens shifts and lots of benefits on many dimensions. Physical, neurological, emotional, spiritual, and energetic.
How it works?
During the session we work with transformational (Psychedelic & chamanic) breathing techniques: dynamic & circular breathing together with controlled retention pauses (apnea) and guided meditation. As a result you can feel a change in your biochemistry and physiology, leading you to release and let go of physical, mental and/or emotional blockages as well as receive a good dose of vitality and energy. Unlike similar methods such as Holotropic Breathwork, Connected Breathwork, "Rebirth", Wimhof among others, which focus on working with emphasis on trauma on a deeper level, in psychedelic breathing we direct the meditative action towards the subconscious, creativity and energetic magnetism.
Designed to bring a unique state of consciousness by altering our blood oxygen levels, temporarily disrupting the inner critic and shifting our brain waves state. That state reached naturally with EB awakens inner strength and has the potential to reprogram habits and systems. Massaging perception and transcending towards that inner space essential to keep the organism lucid. Breathwork as a whole takes you beyond traditional cognitive therapies to provide a deeper healing: there are emotions, memory or unconscious behavior patterns trapped in the body with the conscious mind. Mind-based healing approaches can be great but operate by accessing the body from what is known through the reason. The experimental practice through EB allows us to directly access the body at a cellular level, releasing and dissolving stagnant patterns, mental noise, and supporting our inner technology by creating a new mind-body architecture that supports deeper awareness, consciousness and neuroplasticity.
Prepare for the sesh /Make time to:
- Set up a cozy and comfortable space at home. (Pillows, blankets, eye mask,etc). It is performed comfortably on the floor, either lying down and/or sitting. You can always choose Sofa or similar if better for any condition.
-Prepare your earphones. You could always use a speaker, but I recommend earplugs.
- It is recommended not to eat and/or drink stimulants at least 1 hour before the session.
- Any walk, nature, Yoga or movement sesh, it always a great "get ready" option.
- Wear comfy clothing.
- Have around your water or herbal tea.
- Essential oils, Agua Florida, candles and/or any extra that enhances your practice is welcome.
- Drop any kind of expectative and embrace with open heart the Equinox juice!
Contraindications:
It is a powerful Breathwork practice, and as if you were running a marathon, is not recommended for the following conditions: pregnancy, epilepsy, high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, high inner eye pressure, detached retina, a history of stroke, recent surgery (wounds, broken bones still healing in the upper body).
