Jerónimo Maya Maya was born in Madrid in 1977 in a gypsy family with strong flamenco roots. He is a direct descendant of the guitar teacher Ramón Montoya. His father Felipe Maya, a professional guitarist, and his great-uncle Ricardo Losada el Yunque, a renowned cantaor, teach him to live and respect flamenco.
