El trío Ezza compone una música original, influencia por el blues, el rock y las canciones tradicionales tuaregs que lanzan una mirada sobre su cultura, la situación de su país y el futuro de la población tuareg.
Omar Adam nació en 1980 a pocos kilómetros de Agadez en Níger en una familia de herreros tuaregs. Creció aprendiendo el oficio de sus padres. De niño, por la noche, escuchaba las canciones de cuna que le cantaba su madre y es de aquí donde nace su fuerte atracción por esta música tradicional. Es al principio de los 90 cuando empieza la fuerte rebelión tuareg y el exilio de músicos que van a crear los grupos como Tiraiwen, Takris Nakal… y difundir sus canciones con sus casetes. Omar los escucha y aprende a tocar, sobre sus canciones, fragmentos con la guitarra que el mismo se ha fabricado a partir de materiales reciclados.
En el 2009 se encuentra con Ménad Moussaoui (bajo) y Stéphane Gratteaur (batería) y crea el grupo Ezza. Escribe y compone inspirándose en canciones tradicionales tuaregs que hablan de la situación y la cultura de su país, de la situación actual de su pueblo, confronta la globalización y el modernismo. Sus textos evocan la paz, la escolarización de los niños, el amor, la amistad, el honor y los valores tradicionales tamasheks. En el 2010, Ezza saca su primera maqueta de 4 títulos y se lanza a los escenarios de bares y salas del sur de Francia donde estos nómadas se han asentado.
