ANTONIO llama por teléfono a MARÍA a altas horas de la noche. Son vecinos del mismo edificio. Le anuncia que se va a suicidar y que debe llamar a la policía. No quiere causar molestias “extra” a la comunidad. MARÍA no lo conoce de nada, pero acude alarmada a la dirección que le ha dado ANTONIO y lo encuentra colgando de una cuerda, aparentemente ahorcado. Sin embargo, ha sido una treta suya para atraerla a su apartamento. Una vez allí, la encañona con una pistola y la encierra bajo llave.
