Es el relato directo y real de un artista expresando sus pensamientos y experiencias y representando situaciones auténticas de su propia vida. Sin perder nunca el sentido del humor, Albert Boadella desdobla su personalidad entre el niño y el viejo artista, entre el indómito y el cívico, entre el histriónico y el reflexivo. Interpretándose a sí mismo, realiza un repaso mordaz al oficio de comediante y dedica una mirada irónica a su agitada vida con Els Joglars de fondo. Las proyecciones de los fragmentos más relevantes de sus obras se entremezclan con osadas reflexiones sobre la belleza y la transgresión, los tabús de la modernidad, el estímulo que ejercen los enemigos o la realidad como supremo objetivo del arte.
