Festival Mar Abierto empieza a dar forma a su programación de 2017 y anuncia la presencia de la gran artista Noa con su nuevo y esperado trabajo, ‘Love Medicine’ (Medicina del Amor). La primera cita del Festival Mar Abierto 2017 será el sábado 1 de abril a las 21.00 horas en el Teatro Guimerá de la capital tinerfeña, y al día siguiente, domingo 2 de abril, ofrecerá un concierto con su nuevo repertorio en el Auditorio Alfredo Kraus de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria a las 20.00 horas. Las entradas ya se encuentran a la venta en el portal de ventas del teatro santacrucero.

Es el primer álbum de estudio de Noa, desde 2009. Tras varios años actuando sin cesar, e involucrándose en un sin fin de proyectos, se ha sumergido en el estudio para dar forma a su nuevo proyecto. A lo largo de todo este tiempo, se han ido gestando numerosas composiciones, según relata la cantante.
“El título, Medicina del Amor surgió hace unos años, como consecuencia, de las meditaciones sobre las cualidades curativas de la música y su capacidad de evocar contemplación, compasión, aceptación, e infinita emoción”, asegura la artista. Se trata de un disco con los mejores arreglos de su carrera, compuesto por doce canciones, y colabraciones con otros artistas, como el cantante, guitarrista y compositor brasileño Gilberto Gil, el ganador de una veintena de Grammys Pat Metheny o Joaquin Sabina.
Cuenta con la compañía de un gran guitarrista, Gil Dor, a quien conoció estudiando en la Escuela Rimón de Jazz y Música Contemporánea en 1990, y quien se convertiría en su compañero de dupla desde entonces hasta el día de hoy.


Biografía


Achinoam Nini, NOA, es la más destacada artista israelí tanto por sus con-ciertos como por sus grabaciones discográficas. Nacida en Tel-Aviv en 1969, vivió en Nueva York desde los dos años hasta que regresó a Israel a los 17. NOA estudió música en el Rimond School, donde conoció a su compañero y colaborador Gil Dor. Juntos han escrito y realizado numerosos álbums de enorme éxito en Israel, y otros tantos a nivel internacional: "Noa", "Calling", "Blue Touches Blue", "Now", “Genes & Jeans”.
Las mayores influencias de NOA vienen de cantautores de los años 60 como Paul Simon, Joni Mitchell o Leonard Cohen. Estas sensibilidades musicales y líricas, combinadas con las raíces yemeníes de NOA y los antecedentes musicales de Gil Dor en el jazz, en música clásica y en el mundo del rock, han hecho que el sonido de NOA y Gil sea único.

Hoy, Noa se encuentra inmersa en la promoción de su último trabajo. “Love Medicine” (Medicina del Amor). Tras varios años actuando sin cesar, e invo-lucrándose en un sin fin de proyectos, ha llegado la hora de grabar y presentar un nuevo álbum.
