Procedente de la norteamericana Nueva Orleans, The GET es un trío de
electro-folk fundado por el cantautor y guitarrista George Elizondo. La
banda se completa con Chris Beroes-Haigis (violoncello y FX) y Vivi del
Río (voces, teclados, sintetizadores y FX). The GET se mueve en un
amplio espectro sonoro, lleno de contrastes, en el que tienen cabida
estilos como el folk, el art rock y elementos del post-punk combinados
con instrumentos acústicos y una rica paleta de sonidos que parten de la
música electrónica.
La sangre latina de George Elizondo, de ascendencia nicaragüense y
cubana, percute en sus canciones, escritas en inglés y en español. Esta
singular amalgama sonora se enriquece de variopintas influencias como
Gustavo Cerati, Luis Alberto Spinetta, Radiohead, Juana Molina, Sybille
Baier y James Blake.
The GET está grabando actualmente su primer LP, que será editado en el
primer trimestre de 2026
