En los últimos años el timple ha sufrido una importante evolución, tanto en su construcción como en su difusión por todo el mundo. Todo esto lo ha llevado a convertirse en el elemento exportador mas importante de la cultura Canaria.

Bajo el nombre de “Antología de Timple”, nuevo espectáculo del majorero Víctor Estárico, se ha querido hacer un reconocimiento a esas generaciones de timplistas que con su investigación y trabajo han hecho posible que la función del timple ya no se reduzca únicamente a servir de acompañante en parrandas y otras manifestaciones culturales populares, sino que además se haya hecho un hueco consolidándose como instrumento solista, siendo habitual verlo ocupar grandes teatros.

Para ello se llevará a cabo un pequeño recorrido por algunas de las obras mas importantes abordadas por el instrumento en manos de Totoyo  Millares, Casimiro Camacho, Agrícola Álvarez, Benito Cabrera, Domingo “El Colorao” y Jose Antonio Ramos.

En este viaje el timple de Víctor Estárico estará acompañado por el guitarrista Fernando Cruz, el contrabajista Jose Carlos Machado y el percusionista Fernando García.
