#1 Swap is an Anglo-Swedish folk band created in 1995 by Karen Tweed (piano accordion) and Ian Carr (guitar) of Britain and Ola Backstrom (fiddle, viola d'amore) and Carina Normansson (fiddle, vocals) of Sweden. The band sounds a musical fusion of traditional Nordic and Celtic music.
In 2006, Swap was nominated Best Group at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards.
